Yes my main will be the lowest with a street/spigot 90 and a regular slip/slip 90, and the next will be same but a little higher with a small hole drilled in the top. Gate valve will be on the main drain close to the sump as possible. No nothing is wrong. Mine is set up that way. I am trying to figure out one thing about mine that may need changing. Are you setting up the shortest U pipe to be your main drain with a gate valve? His directions don't address..
Can you take pictures please?Yes my main will be the lowest with a street/spigot 90 and a regular slip/slip 90, and the next will be same but a little higher with a small hole drilled in the top. Gate valve will be on the main drain close to the sump as possible.
The box is black but I hope this will show you. I have not glued them in yet, not sure if you need to honestly. Can you take pictures please?
I am sorry I bought the size box I did. It's too tight for the plumbing. The inadequate instructions has caused multiple problems now for me. And you are wondering whether to glue those pieces in. I did not. Shortening the main line drain to lower than the others resulted in water pouring thru the emergency drain. I went and bought a gate valve for the sump secondary drain. But before I make that change I am talking to a reef squad friend this afternoon. The box is black but I hope this will show you. I have not glued them in yet, not sure if you need to honestly.
The emergency drain is to the far left. Why not move the emergency drain over to one of the sides?
I wish it was centered to give more room/options for the plumbing inside. Either way the emergency in my setup would be in the line of the bulkhead.Oh that shiny reflection got me, thought it was centered. So the middle would get you away from the bulkheads yea? Does this model come with the two bulkheads draining into the box .
Okay I see what you mean and by the looks of your second set of pictures, it looks like you’ll have no issue with water going down by mistake. the pipe is set high enough hereI wish it was centered to give more room/options for the plumbing inside. Either way the emergency in my setup would be in the line of the bulkhead.
Yea that’s weird I agree about the unions. My MM came with centered cut outs and I never asked for that.OK, not sure why the guy didn’t center the holes then the emergency could have been in the middle and would have allowed for the left and right plumbing to be turned inwards with no clearance. I will make it work, but it also doesn’t allow me to line up the union’s to look organized but oh well I’ll make sure and specify next time.
Absolutely, it came in clean as a whistle and when I installed it incorrectly, I needed a replacement weir (custom cut to my mistake). He gave me a discounted price for it. I don’t like the crack there on yours and I recommend you send those pictures to them asking for a replacement. Maybe it broke during shipment and they’ll cover the replacement cost.Did they provide good service to you?
