Just registered as I’m currently in the process of building my first tank - and while it won’t be saltwater, which probably puts me in the wrong community altogether lol I wanted to say hi

Research on the internets lead me to this forum specifically to Rocket Engineers legendary DIY stand build which i’m doing here for my first 44gal freshwater:

I plan on eventually graduating to saltwater and setting up a reef at some point, just trying to keep it simple for the beginning :)

DIY Stand - W36”xD18”xH36”
Tank - Landen 90P 44 gal rimless W35.4”xD17.7”xH17.7”
Filter - Fluval 407

Hopefully there shouldn’t be any issue with this basic config!

Look forward to learning and growing with this hobby i’ve been wanting to do for a long time!

Welcome to the salty side and to Reef2Reef!

That's a great looking stand. Did you know that Rocket Engineer is an active member right here on R2R if you need help?

Stick around, you may be filling that tank with saltwater before you know it 🤪

Welcome, glad you are here! Most on here started with fresh water and there are quite a few running salt and freshwater tanks.

You are correct in that this is a saltwater forum but that doesn't mean you're in the wrong place! It just means you're learning and prepping for your eventually conversion to the salty side!

Stick around and learn with us!
