So I’m just going over my shopping list for my build and I’m looking for my next big purchase to be my lights….

my conundrum is the fact that I’m building out a 54/55 gallon bow front corner tank

this tank is about 24 inches deep which is part of my concern when looking for adequate lights.

I plan on using about 40-60lbs of sand as well as 60-80lbs of live rock

I was curious if 1 or 2 of these lights would be sufficient for growing corals and such?
Thank you for any input….also this is somewhat of a budget build so I’m not looking to spend $800 on lights just yet

ought to be able to come in under that budget...
first are you invested in SPS - acropora eventually?

What kind of coral are you looking to have?

Take a look at a couple 16hds. They are good lights for the money.
I run 8 on 3 different systems.
The color and growth of all my corals is fantastic as I was a previous halide user for many years.

I’m extremely green to the hobby so I don’t actually know what I want….my goal/theory was to get the tank built out and then decide on stock while the tank cycles but it seems that I need to decide on stock to determine proper equipment?

Quick google search leads me to Yes! But I also want to get a few anemone and some lps coral all in the same tank together if possible

Yes its always a good idea to get a game plan together so you have a direction that you are looking to go in. We use Radion Lights and here is a link that you can check out our pre-sets https://worldwidecorals.com/pages/led-lighting-presets
