so ignoring the fact I don’t know where the main shutoff is for this line…

would I just remove the section where the t goes, add the t, then good to go?
Figure out the seat depth on your connector. It'll probably be half inch or 5/8. Cut out of the existing line your Tee body width - seat depth X2.

I would also get an inline shut off valve for the 1/4" RO line after the tee for times you want to shut water off to the rodi for maintaining it. It will come as one valve you will splice inline, just like the tee that feeds it

gotcha. Also, how would I go about determining the seat depth? Is it provided when finding the tee you need or is there something I’ll need to measure?

also…I don’t know of any shut off valve for the pex loop (or where to look) And I don’t really even know what it ties into. Would you just go for it? Or do I need to do something like cut open the drywall?

Edit: corrected. Don’t talk and type folks

makes sense lol. I was joking. Just really really hoping I don’t have to fall in a plumber to figure this out.

Edit: call. Call in a plumber. Unless there’s some lovecraftian secret to setting up an RODI im unaware of…

Don't cut that pipe, that we are hoping is pressurized to feed your rodi, until you know where the shut off. When I installed mine, it was easier to just walk to the street and turn the House off

Anything special you need to do if you shut of the main? As far as appliances and stuff?

(I’ll be a handyman yet my friends)
Do you know where your main shut-off is? There will probably be a cover over it, there should be a valve there. I have a slotted T handle for mine but a set of vise grips work also
