in my mind the two “fancy” things I have are my hydros and pumps, and my ats. ATS shouldn’t be fancy since it’s a tool for biology based nutrient export. But it is what it is.

controller was purchased for having some redundancy and a safety net. That and the wave engine is pretty sweet.

beyond that? RoDi, Rock, and biodiversity are the name of the game for

I understand the relationship between kh, mag, and CA.

I have a passing understanding of the relationship between PO4 and NO3

I understand what causes Dinos and cyano.

I realize the importance of biodiversity in micro and macro fauna and how it affect the closed systems we operate.

i have peasants understanding of par and photosynthesis.

i guess I do know stuff lol

New plan. Setting up the 120. stop second guessing myself.

know I’ve got a light that’ll grow anything. Got nutrient export on lock. Just got to get a feel of where the system settles and adjust accordingly to maintain balance.

get scape figure out. Get MOAR rock. Get more biodiversity.

and get some more acros and try with a good light.

oh And the single hammer polyp is doing well.

I’m convinced that I’ll never be able to justify the true “top of the line” gear that gets touted.

and that’s fine. Many ways to skin a cat or whatever that saying is.

and aww. Rusty is the same way. Weighted blankets have helped. Wrapped up in mine and he will actually sleep through a storm. Makes sense. It’s gotten me through the storms too

Most of my tanks life is ran on hob aqua clear and a protein skimmer no sump and amazon wave makers lol I’m def budget and it can be done
