So I'm in the typical camp of working, with a reef tank, who needs to feed multiple times a day while not at home.

I came to believe that TDO Chroma flake food almost certainly increases phosphates, I already use the Benepets reef powder when spot feeding, and I really like their story.

The pellets appear to be a good feeding option, and one that won't raise phos, but its around 4x more expensive.

I've come to believe I shouldn't feed as much of the benepets food, but by how much I'm not sure, this seems to be some sort of mystery.

Is there another good autofeeder food choice that is more reasonably priced, and won't raise phosphates significantly?

I have no test results. And price wise with shipping doubt it's cost effective. But brineshrimpdirect has cool flakes. Every aquarium in my house loves the cool mix. I am going to buy some other varieties soon. Phosphate wise I couldn't tell you the effects.

I’m using the TDO small pellets in my auto feeder and don’t have phosphate issues. Also just as importantly all my fish eat them great and are healthy/fat.
I had a trial pack of the benepets pellet and expected to like them due to my experience with their coral food, but I found they sank way too quickly for my liking.

That was my experience too. I liked them but they sank way too fast. I’d need to rig a power head to suspend them back into the water column.

ARE YOU READY TO CONFESS TO CRAZIEST, DUMBEST, FUNNIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE IN REEFING?
