Currently acclimating several berghia nudibranch for an Aiptasia issue in my 26g mixed reef. I will have the flow turned off when I put the nudibranch in. I am wondering if the tank would benefit from a 48 hour blackout where I don’t turn my lights on? And possibly turning off my MP10 or setting it to 10% lagoon mode to allow the nudibranch to nestle in. Any thoughts? I have Sps lps and some mushrooms and am worried a 48 hour blackout will harm them. Let me know your thoughts!

I just placed them on the rocks. Took about 6 months but now aiptasia fee. It was amazing watching the aiptasia disappear…picture is how big they got, when I got them they were the size of rice.

Sweet, how big is your tank and how many did you get? I got 9 for a 26g hoping to get rid of aiptasia quickly. I have a LFS to get nudibranch saved after they take care of aiptasia. Also curious if they scouted the sand bed as I have many aiptasia on the sand bed? Thanks for sharing

33 gallons, got 6 and yes they got aiptasias everywhere, even some on pumps and in back compartment. You are lucky, the idiots at my LFS didn’t know what they were and even with aiptasia overrunning their tanks wouldn’t take mine.

Dang!! Crazy a local fish store wouldn’t be knowledgeable. I’m lucky to have some pretty good LFS around. Hoping these guys work out otherwise a file fish may be in order

I have a 75 gallon tank and I only bought 3 Berghia to control my aptasia. It was a slow start, but the Berghia reproduced and I just rehomed 100+ Berghia. These little critters are awesome!
