Ok I’m going to purchase some over the weekend I’m leaning towards mars but what do you guys think? There are a lot of options out there. Thanks for the replies. Have a 75 gal not set up yet

IMO, don’t do it. But hey whichever ones have the best reviews overall I guess!! :)

Mars aqua is fine for a starter. I found adding extra ones of these compensated for the led fallout and deadzones.
I use ocean revives now, and I have had great success.
You will see many people promote reef breeders, but I have never used them.

I just got a 300w viparspectra for my 40breeder and I like it well enough. I chose it over the Mars for its built in timer. The light is massively bright and I run it at 50% blue and 20%white.
The shimmer is almost nonexistent and the disco ball effect at the edge of shadows is distracting. It'll do for my budget beginner build but hopefully I won't have to resort to such cheap lights in the future.
