Whether it is buying equipment of higher quality or buying something that will be worth it in the long run, I feel like we as reefers invest in the products that we buy. I am wondering what is the best investment purchase you have made? Maybe it was buying an RODI that way you didn't have to keep using lfs water, or maybe it was buying an Apex unit to keep everything automated. Curious to know everyone's input!

I invested in an Apex system, and have expanded it to monitor, test, and control three of my tanks. One display, and two frag tanks. My return on investment is ongoing, but I have broken even so far with local swap sales. Also, Kessil lighting.

a rodi set up has to be #1 when compared to the alternatives when factoring effort/cost/time of getting water from elsewhere.

2nd would be simple automation via wifi controlled outlets. Going to need multiple outlets anyway, the extra $10 to make them wifi seems no-brainer.

#3 for me is going in-wall. No need for a custom stand or to keep anything pretty, all sumps/dosage/lights etc are hidden.

Oooo in wall set ups are always neat to see, that’s what I want to do whenever I build a house haha

ATO, RODI, hanna test kits. These 3 make reefing life easy.

Just put red sea lights on my big tank. Worth it from the crap cheap ones it came with. Also LOVE the sump, so Im looking to invest in the cabinet upgrade for my red sea max, that will be a great investment!! Oh and my lionfish, shes awesome and well worth “investing” in haha
