New here, not sure if I’m doing this right but here is my 3 month old biocube 32. First attempt with saltwater after having cichlid tanks for quite some time. Everything has been growing so hope it’s going well! I know the bio cube doesn’t have the best lighting system, anyone with long term success with the stock light and lots of corals? Also open to any tips being new to the hobby!

looks like you're off to an awesome start! The stock lights should be fine for the soft corals and LPS you have growing. You should only need to upgrade lighting if you wish to grow SPS corals, or if you just want a different look or more controllability. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely beautiful! I have had great success with growing softies, lps and what is considered easy sps with the stock lights. I don’t think people give them the credit that they deserve. I did add a couple 21 led USA actinic blue strips, not for more par but for more blue when the whites are on full to retain some coral color.

Should be no problem with keeping “higher end” torches or hammers. Pink tip, CC-21 tails and Medusa torches grew with no issues and split multiple times when I had the biocube setup for a year+. As long as there’s enough hollow live rocks and only one mandarin fish and no wrasse or blue damsels there will be enough pods to sustain the dragonette.
