Hi guys, can anybody tell me id my birds nest will make it?, i accidentally tipped it off of its base and tried glueing it back to its place, idk if i placed too much glue on it that it got to the base of the coral and it killed it, but its not opening up like it used to, i really loved this piece and will feel effd up if it dies im putting pictures of how it used to be and how it is right now

looks to be just a bit ******.... I would just let it be. It will bounce back. I have broken off tips and branches... they have fallen or got blown to another part of the tank. they have taken hold and grown. They are fairly hardy...providing you have a good environment for them.

That makes me feel a little bit better, hopefully it does come back, i just think i got too much glue on it but idk why it doesnt want to open up and the tips look darker than the rest of the trunk thas why i thought it was bleaching out

no bleaching.... the polyps are just not extended.... patience. It should bounce back. Like I said they are pretty hardy.

Might be a little to close to the GSP. I agree, just give it some time.

I️ got a huge colony from a friend and there was a tiny white spot on it
My fox face then went to town destroying 25% of it
I️ ended up completely fragging it onto a live rock
I️ glued the hell out of all the parts
    It’s doing awesome now
I️ fed it every day for a week strait
Moved it to a random moderate flow spot in the tank

This is what it was when I️ got it, it was awesome I️ was ****** at my fox face

After fragging it and using a lot of glue

I think it needs more light. Unless you are running crazy PAR numbers it shouldn’t be at the bottom.

Oh yea definitely. The A80 in my opinion is going to struggle to keep sps. How big is your tank and how many A80?

It's probably the change in parameters more then anything. It depends where it came from. My birds nest is receiving 100 par according to my apogee. Make sure it gets stability, and not too much direct flow.

I dont think its parameters since it was doing fine before it broke from its frag, i think that i put too much glue on the base of it, and it got to the actual trunk, bcuz it got like that AFTER i glued it back on

I would agree with this too close to that gsp... I have noticed this with gsp and gonipora's anything close that is down stream close up or no PE

At the time of the image i had just put that one piece of rock in, its a small piece, the rest of the tank has older rocks full of coraline algae and all types of stuff on them
