BJD? please help

i lost a blue light torch a couple days back from polyp bailout due to me not keeping on a consistent schedule with water changes and everything essential. I recently got a 125 gal and that’s been my focus recently. I did a solid water change, i started dosing magnesium since it was low as 1225, i noticed this brown filment on my black light torch and have no idea what it is.. I did an iodine dip on all my euphyllia and just wonder if this is excess or do i need to do a kfc dip?

I'm sorry, that does kind of look like BJD. It still looks fairly healthy but I would consider pulling it out of the tank and doing the smell test. You'll know immediately. An iodine dip or cipro bath might help.

I can't see your video, but I just had the problem. I'm sorry. I did an iodine dip, asap. then i did a polyplab prime (i think?) dip. Then I did a cipro tx for 5 nights. No one else lost... 1 is having babies.

phosphate unsure atm don’t have any reagents, gfo keeps it around 0.08

doing my research it just happens when there’s an imbalance in your parameters which i didn’t do a wc for probably a week almost 2 weeks and stayed on my regular routine, i’ve gone ahead cut the infected head dipped the torch in hydrogen peroxide, iodine then coral revive and im still hesitant if i should just throw it away or leave it in the tank. I went ahead and ordered cipro from seeing another post of someone using a 500mg tablet to dose the tank which i will do. My other 3 torches look fine i dont see any noticeable brown sludge yet but my splatter hammer and along with the trachy are half receded which is the start of bjd from what ive seen. The splatter hammer started as 2 heads when i got it but one started receding so i ended up cutting it now im not sure if that coral brought the disease in my tank but i also know it comes out witch an imbalance of parameters.. but this is the first time im dealing with this

can you please link me somewhere to find cipro without needing a prescription. i saw 500 mg tablets on reef goods but to have it overnight will be like $50 but at this point i’m not worried about the cost

Dont see BJD but rather these are corals that will have recession when there is too much light, too much water flow, low calcium and elevated phosphate levels. A new tank from transfer often will have temporary impact on them

my other file didn’t post apparently but there’s another picture, i had another torch just completely bail out a couple days back so im going to do a cipro treatment whenever it comes in.
