Black Ich, Help!

Hello, kinda new to this,but
120 gal salt
Amonia= .2
Ph= 7.8
Ni=0
Na=0
Salinity=in line
Sat afternoon I noticed dark spots on the nose and body of my Naso tang,
Freaking out I tried fresh water dip, with no luck.
Now I've bombed my tank with Copper.
I have live rock, stars & crabs.lol
Any help on removing parasites please help.

Crap!
I pretty much just killed my tank.
I hit it with a bottle of copper.
Any advise?

transfer any coral you have in it out of the tank into another tank after being rinsed any rock thats in there and sand will need to be thrown away

What copper/test kit are you using and what is the current level?

Hopefully your LFS guy can help you out.

I'd remove any inverts as they will most likely die. Hopefully you don't have so many in the tank that the die off causes a ammonia spike.

OK. So the first thing your going to need to do is stay calm. The worst thing you can do is panic in these situations. So the freshwater dip on the Naso didn't get rid of some of the black dots? How long was he in the dip for? I see white dots on the puffer and there are quite a few of them. I have some questions..... What and when was the last wet thing added to the tank? Were any of these fish QT'd? Do you have a QT or are you capable of getting one set up pretty quick?

You'll want to remove the inverts from the tank asap. They will die and probably cause an ammonia spike larger than what your already seeing. Run carbon or cupusorb (along with water changes) to remove the copper from the tank. The biggest problem here is that your sand and live rock will absorb the copper and leach it back out later. It will make treating your fish in the display very difficult. It also makes it difficult to keep inverts again after.

Ideally you would set up a qt and transfer all fish over to it for treatment. Here's how to set up a QT

Leave the display fallow (fishless) for 76 days to be sure the parasites have starved out before returning the fish.
