We lost power at 3:30 am this morning for 61/2hrs I had heavy blanckets over the tank moved the water every half hour but the temp droped from 78 to 72 hoping that my loses are not heavy. Mixed reef, fish BTA's, SPS and LPS, PE"s need a prayer. 21" of snow and 8more hours comming.:eek:oh:

you could get a 400 watt inverter from an auto place for like $40, hook it up to the car battery directly and run the car every so often. good luck.

if you have a gas stove- you can boil some water of your top off water if you need to add some and add it slowly.if you cant get anyhting

If you just got down to 72 you should not lose anything because it was a gradual cooling. B

Cooler is better then hotter, they will go kinda dormant in cool water and will hold more O2. So a bit of positiveness this morning!!!!!!!!! Good luck even getting around if anything is open.

cape may ro atlantic city is un der the state of emergency no one is allowed on the road. How ever my tank is in the wall in a room that is 8 x8 i closed the door and have 20 candles running and a battery air pump room has gotten up to 73. So I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Everyday I think more and more about getting a generator for situations like this, good luck.

i live in fl and the night we got down to the 30's the tank in my garage got down to 72. everything lived, no problems. the local fish store thats in a warehouse had their water get down to 70 and everything lived. just try and keep the heat in the room and keep the room temp as high as possible. should be fine!
