I thought hydros was supposed to be so easy. So either I’m missing something or I’m just dumb. I’m trying to get started by using the temp probe to monitor my heater control. So I’m setting it as an output so I can shut off the heater control if it gets too hot. My understanding is the on setting has to be above my controller setting. Well I’m maintaining 78F. My hydros app says my highest “on” temperature is 77.7 so in that case it will not turn on. Basically I want it on all the time and off if it rises to 80.5F and notify me if that happens. So I’m confused.

I just tried setting the turn off point at 79.2 and the turn on point at 78.9 and it worked for me. Just make sure and set the turn off higher first since you cannot set turn on higher than .3 degrees below turn off. The way it works is it has to drop below the turn on point before the output will turn on and once on it would have to get above the turn off point before it will turn off. Between the 2 points it can be either on or off depending on which point it exceeded last.

There in lies my issue. The app is limiting me to 77.7F and the slider or the + symbol will not go higher!

I had no issue in the app but like I said I set the turn off point higher first since the turn on cannot go higher than .3 degrees below the turn off point. The turn off point is the bottom of the two. Also if you click on the book like icon on the right it will let you type in the value but you still have to raise the turn off point first.

As far as the alert for temp out of range you set that on the temp input settings. Here my temp input settings. Set the safe range settings and make sure there is an alert setting set in notification level of yellow, orange or red. Here my safe range is from 76 to 79.1 so if goes out either way I will get an alert sent.

@cruzersmith

Welcome to HYDROS!

We're here to help, but def much faster in our official support portal...so please, let's have you create a ticket with us at support.coralvue.com. There, we can remote in alongside you and set things up, confirm configuration, and much more! Put our support to the test!

At the heart of it, HYDROS is broken down to INPUTS and OUTPUTs.

Inputs are things/data coming into the system...TEMP, Water level, Leak, pH, etc...whenever you have one of these items, you should create a new INPUT.

Outputs are just the opposite, things leaving the system...such as HEATERS, dosers, lights, pumps, anything being powered is an output.

When you create the temp input, you can then create your heater output.

Just scratching the surface of what is possible, but as with anything, gotta learn how to drive first :)

Don't worry, support is there, reach out!

And make sure to check out the Online User Manual...we have tons of info, step by steps, videos, etc.
