I started dosing this product more as precautionary as I had them last year and did the whole dipping process but was never confident that I fully eradicated them, I know my wrasses loves them so I am assuming the worst and he is managing the population but they are still there.

I have a 65 gallon display with 120 gallon sump and 40 gallon Fuge. I dosed 3 capfulls on Saturday, Tank clouded up for about 2hours and completely cleared up, I took the Skimmer cup off and have kept it off. PH is hovering around 8.0 to 8.1 which is normal for me so I have not seen any drop in PH so far everything is healthy my Alk is still as stable as always right at 9.3 it never fluctuates and still hasn't. I will put the second dose in tonight.

Could only see the damage to my mantis before dosing,,,all damage has stopped and I am seeing new growth on rims and in eaten portions of my montis... if not gone they are obviously substantially reduced in numbers

This is a video I posted for my tank update, i'll share it here. I took this video about 11 days after my last dose and most of the close ups you see of the corals were previously heavily infected with AEFW and now have great PE. The shortcake coral had not had any PE in months before treatment.

I would like to report Purge dosing result on behalf of my friend in Japan.
He just completed all dosing schedule. At the end, unfortunately he found AEFW egg where he had not seen on acropora.
The picture below is one of the colony damaged by AEFW. Thus colony had some damage before using Purge. He removed all AEFW including eggs. This colony gradually lost its skin and he hound the eggs at the end of final dosing. He concerns that all AEFW could not be killed by Purge. He hopes the eggs are not hatchable eggs.

Hi Taka, can you message me. I think we will need to send him another round. I believe he had some of the original strength before we doubled the formula to deal with the other species adults :)

No need to stop carbon dosing. Remove activated carbon.

If you have a in sump skimmer, leave it running but remove the collection cup for a minimum of 48 hrs after each dose.

If it’s a external skimmer, shut off for a minimum of 48 hrs after each dose :)

Thanks . I have removed the skimmer cup and filter socks and used a double dose as per a previous post. I don't think I have aefw but had a couple of issues with a new coral but after dipping did not see any come off but want to be sure . Do you recommend any maintenance follow off dose or is it just a 28 day treatment.

I guess it just depends... I would dip a few corals once a week, the next few weeks and then decide what is best :)
