With this system homefully I will suceed, I started using varius methodes about 3 to 4 years ago, the resulds are failures. I understandthey dont like iodine, and have read varius articles, this new system is about 3 months old. I will post a photo and if you have any advice I would apreciate it. Thanks.

Ahh. Are you using your homemade phyto to feed them or granular food?

CJ
When they hatch, they donthave the ability to eat phyto, so I am feeding them yeast, as adult they eat phyto. I have feed adult brine phyto and they eat the stuff, brine boughtfrom the store. The brine I am raising never have reached adultsize yet.

Adult brine shrimp like super salty water so that might help. They are bred and raise in salt lakes were the water is allowed to evaporate which increases salinity. Then they collect they eggs.

I seen a video on YouTube where a Guy hatches brine shrimp then puts them in a kiddy pool outside that's covered by acrylic. If I remember correctly he uses water change water to fill the tubs. I am sure you can find the video.

I live out here in Utah, about 6 miles away from the Great Salt Lake. During certain times of the year you can catch them by the millions! Ive got eggs off the lake before and hatched them in the 2 litre bottle method, then transfered them over to a clean container and just gave them a little yeast. Now I have some adults that are pretty big. They can tolerate various salinty and temp. The lake out here fluctuates in salinty depending on conditions. I just used my change water from my tank.
