Brown jelly?

Got this frag of Hawkins Echinata a few weeks back. Was doing well until I moved it up into higher light. Quickly started to bleach, so I put it back into the sand bed. Now, there is brown slime forming on the areas where it burned.
Is this brown jelly?

Likely necrosing tissue for sure & may be a site for bacteria to colonize or already starting? I’d dip it in Lugol’s solution ASAP.
