Browning/ bleaching SPS

I going to do a 10gal water change tomorrow would using 1.024 salt try to bring it a little lower? also every time I do a water change the all never drops below 10 any suggestions.

That's Fine then . As long as the all test is accurate and you keep it stable. What salt are you using?

Use a salt mix with a lower alk.

Tropic Marin and Red Sea (Normal, not coral pro) have alk around 8.

Reef Crystals has like 14-16.

OK I think nitrates was the issue. Was doing my new red Sea test wrong. Did a 20% water change now here are the latest results.

Salinity - 1.025
Nitrates - 4ppm still higher than I want but at least not 15 now.
Alk - 8.0
Calc - 440
Mag 1480
Phos - .04
Ph - 8.2
Temp -78.8
Nitrite - 0
Ammonia - 0

Will see if corals start to do better now. I think I will up the water change to every 5 or so days now just to keep things in check for awhile.

weekly water changes would be okay - just watch feeding if you over feed your waterchanges wont due much cause the food thats being missed is breaking down and fouling up fast. Gotta find the route of the higher nitrates if it is the problem.

I would run the lights higher than 30%. Not saying that was your issue, but I think 30% is a bit low. As for the coral, looks like alk swings or maybe swings in other parameters are killing it. Good luck

Have some updated good news. Red Monti actually didn't completely die off and has started growing. Pink Lemonade also has a small area with some regrowth.

Nitrates don't kill sps or turn them brown. Phosphates does that part. The reason your sps keep rtning because of instability. How long have you had your tank?
