A few weeks ago I turned up my lights, specifically increasing the whites so I can have a daytime appearance during the main photoperiod. That added quite a bit of intensity. Now after a while into the main photoperiod, the one on the right starts buzzing as if it’s overheating. The fan on this one is blowing a lot harder than the one on the left. It continues like this for 15ish minutes and then stops making the noise for about an hour before starting again. I’ve been routinely using a pressurized air can on it in case it’s dust building up, but it doesn’t change.

I’m extremely worried about this because a couple years ago I had the same model light (G6 XR15) on my smaller tank, and for a reason I can’t remember I did a hard reset on it. During the setup it was at 100% for a bit, and it started making this exact noise. After a few minutes of that the light turned off and started blinking red. I unplugged it for a while and when I turned it back on it started smoking. I took the bottom cover off and it turned out that one of the chips inside had melted. Ecotech replaced the light for me at that time, but I still don’t want this to happen again because I have thousands of dollars worth of corals in my current tank that would suffer greatly if I don’t have one of my lights for a whole week. Here’s a video of the blinking from when all of that occurred:

Please help me figure out what to do, I’m at such a loss and panicking over this. In the meantime I’m gonna turn my lights back down to what they were last month, but my acros have grown a crap ton since having them where they are, so I don’t want to turn them back down for good.

It sounds like the light is getting very hot when running at the higher intensity. You can risk running at that intensity and burning out or running at the lower intensity and supplementing the lighting for more par. You may want to reach out to Ecotech and see what their advice is.

I can't say i've ever experienced anything like that with mine but one thing I do notice is the intake vent for the fans gets filthy fairly quickly with them.
I am going to give mine a good once over with some keyboard cleaner too as the insides are probably caked with fuzz too.
Just spit-ballin' here but your issue could be something as simple as a cooling fan clipping on hardened salt that the canned air couldn't clear.

Do you mean supplementing as in adding more lighting? I’ll definitely reach out to them

Yes, the XR15 don't output a very high level of PAR which is why the XR30 exist. It seems common for Radion users to supplement the lighting with some sort of strip or bar lights as well.
