Hey all, I'm Jonah, not new to the hobby, but I am new to the reef2reef community.

I'm currently setting up my second reef tank, which is a C-Vue 45 AIO system. The set up is in my living room, so I am aiming for a very clean, simple looking setup with minimal cords, pumps, HOB anything. Admittedly, my first tank, while ultimately successful (healthy disease free fish and growing corals), was not taken care of very well (infrequent testing and water changes, no rodi water, and used equipment all past its prime). My goal is to not only have a healthy system, but one that is well maintained on a technical level.
I will post updates on the process I take in the set up and progression of the system! Feel free to comment or PM me if you have any questions, comments, or advice for me!

Equipment listing:
Tank: Cobalt aquatics C-Vue 45 AIO
Light: SmartFarm 95w LED
Return pump: Jebao DCS-2000
Powerheads: 2 Hygger Mini DC WaveMaker 1600gph
ATO: Tunze osmolator nano
Skimmer: TBD (Considering the cadlights pls-50 elite v2)
Reactor: Running carbon

I purchased about 60lbs of used liverock from someone who was tearing down their system, and it was quite evident that he had both parasite and algae issues in his tank so I opted to do a 5 day bleach cure followed by a 15 minute acid dip prior to use. Here's how it looked duri g the acid dip!
*bleach and acid are dangerous chemicals. If you plan to replicate do your DD and wear your ppe*

Here is the aquascape I went with. Wanted something simple that would be visually appealing, and not too cluttered. What better than a simple arch with an island for zoas!? I sanded the bottom of all the base rock for added stability.

Well, my pair of clowns (one super storm and one extreme gladiator) and a very VERY small cuc made it through 9ish hrs of travel and 2 flights. TSA didn't quite know what to do when I said I had live fish, but got through no problem. These guys were just too beautiful to pass up! More to come

Here's the pair in their new home! Currently system parameters are as follows: Ammonia- .05, No2- .2, No3- 5, salinity- 1.026, ph- 8.0, alk- 5 (working on raising ph to 8.3 and alk to 8.5). Still cycling so I should see 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite here soon.

Best of Luck. The Cvue is a vastly underrated tank. I’ve had 3 so far and they are awesome! Here’s my Cvue for inspiration!
