Also got my light :star-struck:

A little nervous, did all the pulling out of the bag completely under water - as I've done with any sponge I've added - discovered the tips of it clear - there was no air in the bag itself, hopefully the sponge wasn't exposed in packing.

You can see the clear of the sponge a little better here. But you can also see all the polyps out.

I forget what that sponge is called...(?)
They are beautiful! It's actually the white coral, growing on top the red sponge, 2 seperate species... I've never had much luck with them :(
Spider sponge, uh Trikentrion flabelliforme says the Google reference for scientific name lol.

I already feed the tank phyto for other stuff in there so I'm hopeful it'll be happy with that.

Goals.

@LadyMac I got lazy and just ordered the clear mounting bars, super secure & easy to put together.

Pony tank updates:
So the light spread is a little different with this light, as expected. I have a few dark spots but I'm not too concerned w/ the type of things kept in here.

Honestly thinking about selling the nero 3s and swapping down for jecods or jebaos - since I have to bag them anyway and the neros can't angle to control flow. Well, they "can" but they don't really....

The jecod I got for the toad tank has much better directional control.

Looking at the etsy link @Fish Styx linked the other day got me thinking about different ways to try to mount the quantas with the reefbreeders.... I might dig them out and try again :thinking-face:

I never considered 3d printing connections between the two
