Cade Chaos Grimoire

my tangs,

Chocolate is not a mirror fighter. But will give a beat down on any new fish added. Scopas tang. I just flash the mirror at the scopas get her attention and get an instant reaction. And tape it down.

I don't know if it works for your monsters. You can to bait them into looking into the mirror and tape down there.
I expected if anyone was going to be a problem it would be the orange shoulder, but he genuinely doesn't care about anything or anyone. It's the little dinky powder blue who's a dbag 🙄 Smallest tang in the tank has to prove himself I guess. I'm going to keep the new guy in the acclimation box for a bit and ensure he pulls through first, then if we hit the point of trying to release again I'll pull out the mirrors.

Powder blues can just down right be nasty. Every time I talk about tangs in the local reef store, powder blue pops up as the instant "never again" monster.

I have never seen them kill fish in the pet stores, but I have seen clown tangs murder tank mates right in front of me.

Hopefully your fish recovers and the pb stops his ego. Its work working around an wrassehole.

Also, over feeding the tank (can sometimes work). Tangs have this whole mentality new fish means there is a food shortage and they are all going to die. They don't understand, as long as you are there. Their bellies are going to be full.

I'll turn up the feeder frequency, that's a good idea. I'm sure they'll all eat it anyway.

I haven’t had a chance to read through all your posts, but just wondering if your marine betta ate any of your smaller fish like the clowns, bicolour blenny or royal gramma?
No, he is the sweetest fish. I have all kinds of small fish that have lived with him over the years from one tank to another and he has never been problematic with anything but shrimp.

I’m partial to shrimp too, so that great he hasn’t eaten any small fish. I wonder how one would go in a 30 gallon? Does it move much from its shelter? They are ambush predators I suspect so probably don’t need a huge area?

The more comfortable they are in the tank The more active they are swimming around. If you're getting one younger you'd be okay for a bit. Normally I think the recommendation is about 50g though.

Coral delivery arrived and unpacked. Reading a book for a little bit on the couch, then on to the plant room.

No filter long distance photo w/zoom.

Drove by Petco today, stopped in to see what they had.

A Purple tang labeled as a Tomini - covered in some kind of bacterial or fungal infection :(

I see you have a Stripey. My LFS has one for sale. Ask for price. Why? They sell for around 200 on line. Am I missing something or read something wrongm
Aiptasia eating champion without all the sensitivity of cbb. I got mine for about $120 when I got him. Wish I could keep one in my seahorse tank to control the aiptasia there but they're voracious eaters and the ponies would get no food.

I wonder why "ask for price" They have fish that alot more expensive then that.

Maybe they're asking for a lot more? Or maybe they want to weed out people who don't know what they are/do? I have no idea, kinda weird
