Cade Chaos Grimoire

Tang didn't make it :( I feel bad, that's 100% on me. Won't be trying again.

Some photos....

Had a blood draw this morning. Weirdest experience I've had in a while.

First, instead of telling me I look young for my age, the phlebotomist told me: "you look extremely young for someone who was born in that year" 😂

Should have said, "thanks, it's the eds actually" but just was too flabbergasted to respond. Her phrasing was so awkward.

Easy draw, no needle wiggling, in and out first try.

Anyway, Lab is like 10 min from home in bad traffic. Get home, my arm is on fire - I don't handle adhesives very well. So I remove the tape and cotton "bandage" thing they always put on. Absolutely soaked in blood. What. Usually it's a tiny drop at most. Dried blood all over my arm. The spot she drew from is all swollen and hard.

I'm not on any blood thinners. I washed my arm. It's still on fire and swollen and hard and feels bruised. It stopped bleeding by the time I got home. But what was that?

Now I need to remember not to put my right arm in the tanks for the next day or so 🙄

As soon as he went into the container the other fish stopped caring that he's there. So I'm really confused....

No one cares about these guys though.

After having lost mine to the Nem disaster earlier this year, i have 8 in my tank, 2 of them have paired off so far and the male is already holding eggs as of 2 days ago, so fingers crossed, i will have more babies soon and i can start passing them out! super exciting!!!

Day off. We planned to go stake the fence line, the weather looks threatening...

Maybe I'll start mixing water for a pony tank water change 🤔

Staked the back fence line.

Random yard nature.

Did not catch a photo of the wild ground cherries I found growing way back in the property.

Did occur to me that the "weeds" I hadn't cleared out of the one planter might in fact be the ground cherries I planted earlier this season. They are. There's actually about 15 fruit on the 3 plants that I was neglecting to clear out until I figured out what to try instead. Excellent, procrastination wins.

Inspired to me look at the 3 other "failed" planters and yep, pretty sure there's peppers finally sprouting in one. And something that looks like the right leaves for the Alpine strawberries in another.

I like the spider(including its' web) and the little purple flowers🙂
The purple flowers are Carolina milkvine. Apparently related to milkweed and work for the monarchs as well. Happy surprise.

My mp40 suddenly will not magnetize through the back of my tank. Switched out wetsides. Nothing. I'm beyond angry

Let the back hang out on a stronger magnet all day while I was at work.

Suddenly works fine.

We'll see how long it lasts.

Made it though the night 🙌

No idea what was going on with it, wouldn't even hold through the regular glass yesterday morning (got up to it on the ground, must have demagnetized overnight).

I guess if you're dealing with mp40 (or maybe any magnet situation) try letting it hang out on a much stronger magnet.

Husbands idea. He's smarter than me.

Tanks doing well. Mostly.

Starry jumped 😭

Need to get a new lid made for the pony tank, want to partner with the same company that I used for my peninsula, I've just been exceptionally lazy.

I also still need to print a new back for my toadfish tank .... Speaking of lazy.

Water mixing for that pony tank water change I keep putting off...

I really hate my flow situation in there, but I'm terrified to unbag the powerheads and have them get their tails caught in them again.

2 photos for tax.

What about a, 3d printed, oversized cage around the pump. Something that leaves a gap around the pump so they can hitch onto it without touching the actual pump... or more bagged pump(s)?
I thought about the cage idea, just wasn't sure the best way to get it set up in the tank itself... probably overthinking it

I'm thinking 2 parts, like a Tupperware bowl, "bowl" around the pump, "lid" behind magnet. Attached together with a couple zip ties. Something big enough to leave a inch between the "bowl" and actual cage of pump.
Except the "bowl", is a 3d printed cage.
