Did I hear something about a...
Coral?

Home, cleaned up, took a handful of ibuprofen - finishing it March 8th.

All of the outline and shading was completed, one leaf colored in entirely. The leaf veins colored in.

Honestly the next appt should be a breeze but my body was done today.

Also did a bonus tattoo on my bum beforehand 😂

Feeling pretty vindicated in my decision to take extra time off after this appointment - my oura ring yelled at me for major signs of something straining my body today.

Going to try to do some tank maintenance tasks this afternoon.

My shirt is stuck to my rib cage right now and I don't feel like dealing with it yet so I might go back to bed.

I may have ordered corals.

Skeletor has a vet appt today to find out if the mass in his cheek is something to be worried about.

The weather is offensive still. I'm worried it's going to make me sick again. 28° currently with a real feel of 21.

ATI results back. IDK what's going on with this tank. Guess I'm gonna pull saltwater and refill with RODI. Salinity is wildly high (I don't really do water changes so I'm confused about how it creeps up every time when I have an ATO running).

ATI test reads alk and calcium even higher than I read at home, not sure how much I trust those two from them though, I've read a lot of mixed reviews from people.

Regardless, many things I don't dose are creeping up (iodine, for example). I don't use a broad dosing solution either for it to be in those as well. Maybe something from the foods?

RODI sample was perfect. As it should be, I just recently replaced all filters on the unit.

In life news, Skeletor is getting the mass removed on Friday and having it sent off for testing. The concern is oral melanoma.

Those ARE some strange goings on. Especially the rising salinity with the ATO and no water changes. Even if you did water changes, I am sure you'd mix it to 1.026.

Depending on feeding levels; ff you're feeding nori and foods with iodine that isn't being consumed then that might account for the rising iodine.

Good vibes for Skeletor.

I'm gonna have to sit down and read the foods. I agree and suspect most of the random elevations are coming from something they're fed.

I did one water change I recall, to clean out the sump some and actually mixed it to 1.020 because I remembered it reading a little bit high on the last fish acclimation. Thought mixing it lower would help drop it a little bit but I feel like that's even higher than what I saw previously.

Plan today after my nail appointment is to start siphoning and let the ato fill instead of filling with more salt water. I'm not going to do a ton, but I'm going to try to drop it a little - that'll also help remove some of the excess other stuff.

The only thing "low" by regular standards was magnesium. There's a few things moonshiners wants me to dose up but I'm going to work on fixing this salinity situation first then possibly send off a fresh test for a better idea of what's going on once I get some of that out of there.

Low magnesium, while not ideal, isn't going to really mess with anything. I know you probably know this already.

Yeah, slow and easy with the salinity drop. I know you know this too.

What I really want to say, though, is that if there is going to be some weirdness going on with someone then it's going to be you. At least you're consistent in all of life's departments. So, you have that going for you!

Happy nail day!

Of course it's me 😂. And the magnesium isn't even that low - 1296 instead of the 1350 I typically dose it back up to after each of these, I'm not concerned about it. I'll address that once everything else is fixed.

My tank kinda does the same thing. My salinity creeps up from 1.025 salt mix and hits 1.028 frequently even after raising the ATO sensor to get more ATO water in the tank. I do very infrequent water changes at 1.022 to 1.023 to bring it back down somewhat.

That makes me feel a little better, at least it isn't just me. I had to look it up because they report it in PSU and it's actually at about 1.027 so not as high I was expecting based on the first glance. Also makes me feel better lol

Surgery went well, they'll have results within 2 weeks. Skeletor is rough, his cheek is swollen, he only got served 1/2 his normal dinner amount and wasn't given his dental chew. He's not pleased. He's also only gotten out of bed once since we got home, and it was for the measley dinner portion.

I'm starving him, I guess.

Swelling has gone down tremendously.

We got a new toy.
Husband's uncle got it from someone he knew, it was run exactly 5 times.... he brought it to us because he already has one.

Need to set up ventilation before we use it.
