Furiosa is settling in pretty well, the chickens were incredibly exciting initially, but we're adjusting. She discovered the quail, they're now the more exciting thing. Don't think it's a "I need to kill and eat this" type prey drive reaction, so much as a "what the heck is that?!" reaction. We'll get through it.
Wednesday night she was afraid to go into the bedroom, didn't want to walk behind the couch where it was darker. She also cried if we weren't within sight. I slept on the couch in the living room. Between over 6 hours of car rides and sleeping on the couch, I hurt.
Last night she decided the bedroom was fine, she came in with me and slept in her bed in there, then Matt started making noises and she went out there with him for a bit and came back to the bedroom when he came to bed.
She has stopped panicking if one of us goes outside, so long as the other is still in the house. We haven't fully left her alone yet though.
She played with a toy last night for the first time, on her own even, that was exciting.
I'm trying to decide if I want to order more garden eels...
