Sunday he collapsed in the yard while peeing. We had to help him out to the yard with a sling because he was so weak, we took it off because it was in the way of his ability to pee, and he fell. We ended up having to carry him back in the house and lay him in his bed. After a few hours of him not trying to even get up again we called and moved the appointment to Monday morning, we couldn't stand to let him go an additional day in pain. Sunday night I slept on the floor with him, Matt slept on the couch next to me. We were physically and emotionally wrecked for the next couple days. Today was my first day back to work, it helped distract - I think? I miss him so much though.

I'm so annoyed, I meant to get a photo of Phoebe for you while I was at the airport coming home but I didn't go down to the 1st or 2nd floor and it was very late so I didn't think about it again until I was in my car driving home

There was a whole thing to name her. I was going to say Tampa is weird, but I know some states/cities name their snow plows every year so I don't think we're alone with that.

Matt's perfectly content to never get one again, but he already said he knows who he married and that's not an option.

I might go meet this guy.....

In tank related news (since that's why we're all here)

Matt did a great job keeping the seahorses happy while I was on my work trip last week. He even fed them one morning while I was sitting with Skeletor while he was sick. He said feeding them is fun, watching them race around to catch the "water cupcakes" as he releases them is entertaining.

Peninsula needs a glass cleaning and I need to clear through some of the refugium overload. I'm off tomorrow, might try to do some of that.

Sunday I got a lot done. I did not clean the peninsula glass though. Did clean filter media and the fuge. Also cleaned the plant room, repotted some things. Quarantined my big monstera who can't stop reattracting mealy bugs every time I think their gone again. She's now the only plant in my office. Searched everyone else - they all seem fine.

He was a Greyhound. I will absolutely have another Greyhound in the next year, I'm just not ready quite yet.

Barnacle, the puppy I'm wanting to go see this weekend, is a borzoi.

I'm ready for another dog in the house but not sure I can handle the same breed already.

I clearly have a theme with sighthounds though.

We didn't end up going out there - he decided he's very much not ready yet.

Instead we went to ren fest.

Was a good day even without a dog.

Apparently my wife was on Craigslist and the County page looking at puppies yesterday. Our youngest dog was not excited so he came and sat on her phone while she was trying to browse.

And all my chickens are laying eggs as of today. Well.... Kinda. My zombie isn't actively laying because she's broody and thinks she's going to hatch the zero eggs underneath her

Morning, I intend to spend the next few days catching up - I have my last session on my ribs today and then tomorrow/wednesday off... with a virtual work meeting on tuesday in between. Lots of downtime.

Husband agreed to meet a dog she's a greyhound - currently named Margot. Trying to figure out meeting specifics presently. She'll be 3 in June.

One of my powerheads stopped working again, I'm really going through it with these things. Taking recommendations.
