That egg case is awesome.

10 rfas went into the tank before I left for work. Now that I'm home I see 5 of them ...

Last ICP was sampled 4/4 - this one 5/29

Aluminum dropped from 125.8 to 71.22

BUT

Nickle went up from 13.4 to 17.7
Molybdenum went up from 25.1 to 32.65

Those are the metals (some) magnets are made of...
But not crazy high numbers, I think, what do they consider ideal?

I've checked the few I have in the tank and they're fine. I haven't taken apart my mp40 though and I'm afraid to

Look for any hairline cracks in the encasing plastic and/or swelling.
Yeah, I'm afraid to check because I'm afraid it's going to be that though. Because I will not be replacing with another - way too pricey for now. Gotta go with something else.
Still running the polyfilter?
Yeah, probably need to switch that actually....

If it's the mp40, it would only be the wet side needing replaced- not whole thing..

Wet side is still very pricey on its own though.

I love the gyres, been running the maxspect xf250s for about 8 years now. Rarely clean them and have many spare parts to rebuild them. Can't complain. The pond has been running almost a year now, it only has 3(about to be 4) jebao scp 180's. Haven't cleaned them yet, they are still clean(besides coraline) and been flawless. I think I paid $120/each. Great value. I only use their return pumps, same maintenence plan/quality report. Not sure how I feel about their mp knockoffs.. it's like a new generation of car, the 1st couple models suck. Might wait for the refined 2nd iteration.. but I've heard alot of good of their traditional lines.

MP knockoff doesn't work on my tank. Got the bigger one because thick glass, well within the range of it - doesn't stick on the black side at all - doesn't hold on the glass for more than a few seconds without falling apart.

I do have a gyre on the far end.

I think I actually have some old power heads in storage from the 114g cade...
