Have a bit of a mystery...

Magnesium is 1350-1400 each test, I dose to correct if needed.

Alk was sitting at 8.8 this last test, normally when I test at home it's usually settled at 8.5 - I think I pulled the sample right around dosing time to be honest. I checked it again the day I got the results and it said 8.5.

Calcium was at 508. I have not dosed calcium once into this tank. I have no idea what it's coming from. April test was 514, so I guess in theory it's going down now finally... Feb was 496. Jan 470.... So... up, up, downish?

Is it the Brightwell alk8.3 garbage I'm trying to use up? Is that somehow raising my calcium alongside?

I am confusion.

Possibly the brightwell. They flipped from that to the BRS soda ash.

Yeah that's what I have in reserve, was trying to use this up first though since I already had it as well

I think Randy says calcium is hard to overdose to the point of seeing any negative effects. Maybe too high calcium could potentially start making calcium carbonate or something and get more calcium deposits in the tank?

Worked from 9am - 830pm yesterday, network went down w/ the storm. Manual transactions from 5pm-close while also on the phone w/ our IT dept while they tried to figure it out. Seems like our backup server had a critical error that crashed it out during all the flickering. They were able to rebuild that on the backend and get our backup network back online after we closed for the night, and someone w/ local broadband is supposed to be out today to fix the regular network.

This was day 2 of at least a small amount of time down due to storm knocking out our network.

We're expecting storms every day for the summer, because FL. I'm already tired about it.

I enjoy Mystery frags usually. I've gotten a few nice ones and several Meh ones. I'd almost rather know what type of Mystery coral it is.

It's not picking up well on my camera, but the flesh itself is a peachy-orange color, the polyps presently appear to be kind of bluish? It fell off the frag plug, so we shall see how it fares.

Did some tank maintenance last night after unloading.

Realized I never removed all the media from the sump back when we decided it might be the culprit, I only got half of it that's all out now.

Replaced the poly-filter. Cleaned the skimmer. Checked on the sump gorilla crab.

Still need to rinse the sera-wool balls but I'll work on that tonight.
