I found the easiest was to toothbrush it, then just keep changing the floss. I tried taking the rock out and placing it in the water change and scrubbing then placing back. it still needs another water change or continuing floss change. life has had me by both feet for a while.
I have filter socks so I change them out after I let the tank run a bit to hopefully catch any that I don't get with my net.
yup. I did that with the octopus. I bought a AI Pump and attached a hose and would fill up containers to know exact amounts removed. then just marked the 10g on the tank and laid the house right outside the front door. So it was just returning the new water. currently I fill the RO water in the bath tub and ask the spouse to pick up the 5 gal jug over the side of the tub. thoughts are to place it on a dolly and roll it above the tank and drain it to the ATO container etc...I'm trying to do without spillage too. big thought process.
this is in my 32biocube. so it would be to run it through a pump and through a sock back into the tank for the simplest method. but two tanks for me are too much right now. the big tank is easier to keep up with.

Oh my gosh I have been avoiding turbos because I was afraid of them knocking over the corals but I might need to rethink that idea! And I love your furkids!I put about 10 Turbo lawnmower snails in my new tank to remove the furry algae problem….here is some before and after photos….

Wow,looking great Amanda!Moved some rocks around and scrubbed off more GHA today. I would have done a lot more scrubbing but I got tired of my male clownfish being a little jerk trying to bite me. I also took my few surviving corals out of the cups they were shipped in and attached them to rocks. I'm looking the way the left side is, I moved it a tad closer to the back to make room for the future garden rocks. The very last picture is the before picture.

Looking great Amanda!I decided to face the wrath of my male clown today and move the rock that my neme has been attached to for several months it's still in the same area just not on the main rocks. This serves two purposes it gives more room for corals and placed the neme in a position where I could see it better that is of course if it doesn't get mad and move. I also made it to meet the lady kind of local to me to buy some more corals from her. I ended up getting 6 more from her at $20 each a Mr.Freeze Leptoseris, a green cabbage, a hammer, daisy cutter zoa, rainbow hornet zoa and one other I forget the name of. I will get pictures of them tomorrow when they aren't mad from being dipped. I'm not loving the way the 3 first rocks on the second section looks but maybe it will grow on me. I also got the frag rack that looks like a rock I think it looks nice.
