Can a tenius grow if it can't form a base

Not sure I understand. Why would it not be able to grow a base?


Most SPS will encrust before upward growth but I'm sure if they can't encrust for some reason they would still grow.

2.5 inch frag that didn't ship well it's died at about an inch down. All the others are growing and forming bases

Sure it can, alot of colonys that people own get so big, the bottom/center parts will bleach out or die. But the coral will still be healthy. If its a frag just clip it off and remount
