I wanted to use the Echo Tech TIR lens kit but then I will have to mount the LEDS on pcb in close proximity like Radion led fixtures do.
I want to know if it possible and can I mount the whole pcb on heat sink ?

thanks

no expert but I dont think you can mount pcb on a heatsink, you will have to use fans instead

It's possible, but will take a lot of customization. Why do you want to use the TIR lens? There are a lot of other great ways to use LEDs that will give you a great light.

I wanted to use TIR lens since they are compact if I use traditional lens then I cant mount the LEDs close enough .
so how do I deal with heat if I mount the LEDs on a pcb ?

regards

Unless kept cool the LED will get hot enough to melt the solder off the star.

PCB has poor thermal properties unless used with a heatsink. That said if you are using current generation Cree or Luxion 5 watt LEDs you may be OK if you drive them at 1-2 watts.
