My hermits(hitch hikers in some cheato) have decided they like many other they needed larger shells, now I need new snails. I live at the beach can I pick up shell on the beach to use for them. I would imagine a vinegar bath would be beneficial?

+1 to vinegar bath. I'm pretty sure as long as it's on the beach and not alive you won't need a permit. You may want to check your local laws to be sure though.

I can't think of any reason why not as long as there are no restrictions on collecting shells where your talking about. The vinegar bath would not hurt either

figured as much, never hurts to ask especially when you try to do something for free that ruins your day...
