I personally wouldn’t it doesn’t only attract water and it attracts water from other places than just the tank

I have before many times when didnt have enough RODI water. It tested out about 12 TDS. So pretty clean but not sure what made up the TDS obviously? I don't think it matters where the "water" came from origionally because evaporated unto air and probably not where the TDS comes from. Most likely the limited contaminants where from the metal corals and machine itself. Ive used it in full mixed reef before with lots of fish, inverts, and SPS with no visible problems. But also never used 100%. Instead mixed with pure RODI water in a pinch.

Some dehumidifiers have copper in them, I definitely wouldn't risk it. No idea how much actually makes it to the water.

I'm with u and definitely some unknowns. And wouldnt do it on purpose all the time without more testing. I can guarantee its better than tap water in an emergency for sure and the point i was trying to make.

Can you mix salt in and test for copper nitrate phosphate etc im curios
But make sure you have the correct levels of salt mixed in otherwise the test wouldn’t be accurate

Personally I wouldn't use that water. We put so much money into our reefs and with water being one of the more important parts that can make or break a tank it's better to play it safe when it comes to it.

I wouldn’t use it personally due to the risk of contaminants. To be ecologically efficient I run the waste line of my RODI to a rainwater tank so that it gets used on the garden, so if I were in your situation I would see if I could route the dehumidifier waste to the rainwater tank. At least that way it wouldn’t go to waste down the sewer or stormwater.
