What does everyone else do with the waste water from their reverse osmosis?
I collect mine. I use it for a few things like washing the car, garden, bathing the dogs, mop water, and etc. Sometimes I use it to rinse the dishes. The water charge has gone up much here I hate to waste it. I have three I use. One for drinking water on the kitchen second for the bathroom sink for brushing my teeth
And the another one for the fish tank. My water from the city is awful. So I use three.

Nothing yet. I let it run down drain. But thinking about using it somewhere
I also currently run it down the drain but I thought about sending it outside and into the garden area. Problem I have is I’m in Colorado. That should sum it up.

I am in a very dry climate as well, i am in the desert so the little water I have from waste water will not do much.

I plumbed my waste line ~25ft to an outdoor deep water culture hydroponic system in the yard… it tops this ~150g system off, and helps feed whatever I happen to be growing in there at the moment!

(This has since become an aquaponic system, with the adoption of several aquatic turtles, and sees all manner of migratory birds stopping for a drink!)

Have you seen thr Greening The Desert Project before?

If not, check out some vids from the series...here's a start (tho I couldn't find the original, maybe you'll have more luck):

Oh wow the waste water works fine? I’ve been using rain water for my bato bucket hydroponics. But summer time I run out/no rain. Guess I’ll give this a shot.

I run the waste line outside to a couple 50 gallon barrels to use to water all the planter boxes in my back yard. There are a bunch of them.

Water rates have doubled in my area in the past 5-6 years, so anything I can do to save water helps.

Do you have photos to share?

Currently we catch ours in a bucket. Then pour it into 5 gallon buckets around our fruit trees. We drilled one small hole in each bucket to slowly let the water out.

Just started doing this. Hopefully we can save the trees. People here are talking of restrictions on watering this year.
