Can you have too many PODS?

Is there a possibility of having too many pods? I know this is a noob question but I figured it can't hurt to ask. I've got them all over my glass and they reappear just hours after cleaning it.

Have you tried scooping out a cup full and looking at it closely? Looks like a good amount of pods but also looks like some other particulates in the water column.

About a month ago I dumped in 2 bottles of trigger pods and I’m spot feeding my LPS’ Reef Roids, Oyster Feast, Phyto-Feast Concentrate, and Pac Pods Copepod Concentrate (not live). I’ve got some coral snow but haven’t looked into using it yet. I’m guessing the Phyto-Feast is feeding the pods but I could be wrong.

I have not scooped anything up yet. Are they usually free floating or do they only cling to surfaces? The particulate is due to a recent fish and coral feeding. I have my mechanical filtration (10” fleece roller) uninstalled because I’m trying to get nitrates up.

No. They will die back if they don't have enough food, but not in a way that will spike any nutrients.

Also, they are "tigger pods" (Tigriopus californicus copepods) Remember, copepods are really tiny and very difficult to see clearly without some magnification; sometimes we're seeing small amphipods too :)

I add pods every week to maintain my mandarin and wrasses. I use all the products you mentioned too. Their population will balance out based on tank predators and food supply. Over population is not a concern . Under population is because they are beneficial to the reef.

You definitely can't have too many pods!

In theory if you added millions to a smallish tank, due to a lack of food supplies some might die off. But the dead biomass would be so tiny as not to cause any chemistry issues. As a practical matter, though, it's literally impossible to have too many!
