Don't think of only problems my friend, think only solutions!

Check the classifieds, someone near you is likely selling a 5 or 10 gallon for cheap. Lots of folks getting out of the hobby after covid, lots of used items available in the classifieds.

Plenty of tanks going for pennies in UK at that size on eBay.
I have about 5 in my shed that I've kept for discus QT tanks or treatment tanks

Keeping SPS, even easier ones like Montis, still require care e.g flow that will not be feasible in a 2 litre tank.
Some leather or zoa might be a fun project for a short term but it's not ideal
