So i have three different candy canes. Through trial and error, i’ve mostly gotten each kind to where they want to be in the tank. Mostly…

Purples, seem to like a bit higher light but still in bottom third. They seem to love flow!

Greens, love about the same amount of light but seem to like a much lower flow than the purples.

Dark purple, green center. These seem to not be happy at all next to the purples in the higher flow. So i’ve moved them next to the greens in case it was flow that they did not like. Just moved them so a bit more angry than usual.

I’d like to make the dark purples happy sooner rather than later, so i ask, what is your experience? Usually with a candy cane, i can make them super happy with food, but not these.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I keep mine just above 50% of my rock but that is less important depending on par. I’d say both the kryptonite and pinwheel are in moderate par and flow for over 4 years. The kryptonite is a much faster grower and I have fragged it many times. If you need more specific information or have any other questions feel free to contact me.
