Hi I am new to the forum and this is my first build by myself (mostly my husband butt in a little ).
So I had decided to build this tank as my husband has left the country to go to school so I wanted something that would challenge me and something that I enjoyed. I have dabbled in saltwater before but it was always mainly my husband doing all the work and I just enjoyed the results of his labor. I have had this tank going now for several months.
I started it with dry rock and Fiji pink live sand. Upgrades include a intank chamber 1 media basket with chemi pure elite, ruble pieces and filter floss. I upgraded the stock pump with a sicce .5 pump and a power head. I also ditched the stock tank light and hood recently with an ai prime and custom lid from kraken reef.
For critters I have:
1 royal gramma
1 wheelers shrimp goby
1 pistol shrimp
1 skunk cleaner shrimp
2 sexy shrimp
1 feather duster worm
Reef hermits and snails (astrea, nassarius, and cerith)
Also I have a bunch of different corals that my husband had fun shopping online for.
So far everything seems to be going smooth other than when I went though the ugly stage which wasn't too bad.
