Chaeto getting less and less...

I'm on my 2nd week of using Prodibio(biodigest and bioptim) and noticed my chaeto inside my sump is dwindling in size. Should I be concern or it is meant to be? I'm also running GFO and Carbon. All parms are good. Can Prodibio dosing co-exist with chaeto? Thanks!

Many with bacteria driven systems cannot keep macro algae anymore. No need to be concerned. I dose vodka and my macro all died off in the sump.

Should I just take it out 'cause some of the die off are going to my DT. It's like an overkill with chaeto, bacteria, GFO and GFC. The only plus side w/o chaeto is I don't have to use any extra light inside the sump.

I would Pull it ,if it is dieing off!!.I was dosing phos-E daily..I recently had about 5-7 lbs a various marcors die off in my fuge...Had a big algae bloom that took a month or so to get a handle on with doing big water changes....Just my experience..No i dose phos-E every other day or every 3 days...marcos are doing fine

Yep, pull it out. The Prodibio is "doin' it's thing" and there aren't enough nutrients to support the macros.

Yep like everyone else said, take it out. I am actually going through a trial period without GFO also. Still maintaining PO4 at .03-.07.

i had the same thing happen....imho i think it was becaus ethe gfo was pulling out all the phosphates and the cheato had nothing to feed off of. i left mine in and it just eventually went away. now just have the gfo and carbon on there.
