I have had a few Chalices in the past and haven't had the best of luck with them.

My tank is a mixed reef with many different SPS's and LPS's that seem to be fine but for some reason the Chalices don't like me.

What flow and light do they prefer? Should I be target feeding them? Are they susceptible to Alk swings? My tank consumes a ton of Alk so it drops on my fairly quickly if I don't pay attention.

Chalices do good for me,but only SPS like Acropora do bad!Same situation here diffirent corals!Maybe you can help me if I help you!Hahaha,jk

Chalices like low light, generally the bottom of the tank to mid tank levels, piece like Tyree Red WM and other WM chalices, can tolerate higher light.

They like moderate flow,to low flow, but I keep mind in moderate as I like them to get a bit of a current to keep my tangs waste off of them.

I feed mine alot, like every 2 days, this is what gives them good growth IME.

They dont like swings in anything, but if your SPS are fine, then chalices should be just fine with water quality.Your tank might also be to clean if sps are thriving!

We grow ours in 12" of water under 250 watt MH mounted 16" above water in a lumenbright reflector with 20k bulb. Moderate water flow, just enough to keep the junk off of them.

high magnesium and 10-12 dkh stable. they dont like big alk swings
