Hi all. Just passed ikea yesterday looking for a light and saw the best possible solution to a dosing container on a budget so though I'd share.

Found these in their 365+ kitchen range. Bpa free, airtight lid with flip top refill slot, slim design and food grade material. Best of all they already have the spot located for you to drill out for the RO bulk head. It's almost like they made it for us lol.

Hopefully someone els can make good use of these.

Nice. Wish I had space for something that big. We wound up using 500 ml Voss water bottles. I currently get something like 20 days of Alk and Ca. Barely used Mag. I put the doser in manual mode when needed for Mag.

Sweet! I'm not dosing yet but I'm saving this info. I love these 5 buck versus 100, but works better, finds!

Thanks for sharing... and yes as Idaho Mojo asked, if you can give any info on how to find these online it would be much appreciated.

IKEA is the devils warehouse and I'm not going in there again.

Edit: beat me to it... I see the link now, thanks!

I like thw voss bottles to but hard to come by in hk. You can get the 2ltr size of these ones to. I went for the 1.3ltr. Same for me with mg. I just dose that manually [emoji106]

That's a really great find! I love to see affordable options for all of us reefers who have bigger dreams than budgets. The only thing I can think of that may need to be addressed is the fact that's it's completely airtight, you may want to make a tiny vent hole so that you don't end up pulling a vacuum on the container

Glass Voss water bottles are the bee's knee's. Just hard to come by at least the 800 ml variety.

I'm sure we all have our own way to install these but since I've got half of mine in I thought I'd share how they look. Their ok. Not the smartest set up but it gets the job done [emoji16][emoji106]

This is the worst set up of dosing I have ever seen. Just joking man ;Hilarious Looks nice.

I’ll come over later and check it out. Wanna see that scrubber DIY you did too.
