Thanks for the response I'll probably try blue zoo. The Saturday option is convenient I'll just cross my fingers. I don't think I could setup a quarantine tank for 40 snails unfortunately l. I'll give them a scrub with a toothbrush and pray lol.
I'll let you know on Saturday! I ordered a mccosker flasher wrasse and about 32 inverts. Im going to quarantine the wrasse but not the snails. I'll let you know how they look when I receive them.
I personally take biosecurity quite seriously, and I do personally house my new snails and other inverts in a fallow (fish-less) tank for about 45 days before they go to other tank(s). However, I believe about 99.7% off all other reefers do not QT inverts, and like 99.9% of the time it's just fine. There's a chance your inverts may have a fish parasite, but it's not a high probability. Give them a scrub, roll the dice, and let us know how the order looks, I'm interested too. Do watch your fish for any signs of anything going on after you add your inverts so you can take action quickly, but I think you'll likely be fine
Thank you I have a 10gal i could setup for my inverts but I'm worried about trying to feed 32 inverts and not spiking ammonia in a fresh tank. I usually quarantine fish 1 at a time with copper power(which i know you cant use for snails)but im assuming the inverts will produce alot more waste then 1 fish. Also I would have to hope they would eat nori or pellets because it wouldn't have any algae I just feel like im not properly prepared to handle them. Though if you wanted to try, I don't think inverts excrete nearly as much ammonia as fish would, though 32 of them is indeed a lot. Those animals are usually very hardy and can handle some ammonia. You can mitigate high ammonia in a QT tank with water changes, as well by using a bit of rock or cycled media from your main tank. They will indeed eat nori and pellets, and just about anything else.
You think a 10gallon is enough to house them? I don't mind doing daily water changes (if needed). Unfortunately I don't have any spare rock ready to go and all my quarantine media has been exposed to copper. I mean I could go to petco and pick up like a 20gallon. Last question will they openly accept nori and pellets? I have two tiger sand conches coming but the rest are a mix of smaller snails. Sorry to be bugging you will all these questions. I don't mean to freak you out, because the vast majority of reefers do not QT inverts and have zero problems, but it can happen. This thread came up just today, and after some back-and-fourth, it is looking (to me at least) like this could be a disease brought in by recently added CUC members. Just putting this out there so you have information to help guide you with this decision, again, I really think you'll likely be fine by not QT'ing the inverts. But please keep an eye on your fish for sure

What are you getting 32 of? A ten gallon might be OK, I would think a 20 gallon would do it for sure (I'm assuming you're getting an assortment of snails and hermits, etc.). You could also use something like a plastic Rubbermaid storage tote.
To me, that looks like a solid list, and I think you're ten gallon would probably work
But if you wanted to use tote, they typically do come with a lid. I'd open the lid a time or two a day, or drill some holes in it for air flow. No need to light an invert tank.
Oh good news I have like two unopened bags of spare sand! I think maybe a tote or 20gal would be better so they have more space(if that even matters). My only concern now would be feeding enough and not spiking ammonia. I don't have experience feeding snails so I'll have to look into it and see how much they truly need to avoid overfeeding them and messing up my water parameters.To me, that looks like a solid list, and I think you're ten gallon would probably work
The only thing I'm not sure about is if the Conchs will need some sand to do well. I do know that Nassarious snails don't require sand, I have some in a bare bottom tank, and I know others do too.I do think you could offer them algae wafers, nori, and even some pellets for the carnivores.
More room would be better, it would help keep ammonia in check too, but I don't think you'll have a big problem. Inverts don't excrete as much ammonia as fish do, but they will produce some. I think you'll need something to keep the water circulating too, which would be as simple as an air pump and air stone, but you need something for good gas exchange. I don't even know if you have to heat this tank if it's in a room at like 72 F or so. Many of these snails actually like slightly cooler water than where we typically run our reef tanks, and they live longer at the lower temps. If you have a heater, that may be best though.

I think I should probably set this up so im basically future proof and I'd be pretty sad if I killed my fish by adding a infected invert.
