Cleaner Shrimp needs!

Hey you all!

i want to buy a cleaner shrimp or a blood red fire shrimp!

actually i have a 30 gallon tank. with 2 clowns and lots of zoas.!

i want to know what does this guys need for living.

they eat just detritus? or should i give him something else.!

I would try to introduce the shrimp (personally I like the fire shrimp) with the lights off and if possible move a rock around to distract the clowns. I have made the mistake of introducing shrimp mid day to a smaller tank with established clowns, it did not end well for the shrimp.

My fire shrimp eats what the fish and corals eat.

I give mine Hikari freeze dried shrimp. It's easy, and nothing to defrost on the days I feel lazy. Otherwise I break off a piece of Rod's or LRS and give that to him. Feed him with a long tweezers and make sure the shrimp gets a grip on it before you let go. You can usually feed him with your bare hands after they get used to you. Make sure the fish are fed first or they will go after the shrimp's morsal of food.

now when i choose the shrimp. what should i look for. i mean. go for the smaller one.. the bigger one?
