So this popped up about a month ago in one small spot. I cleaned it off the rock and it came back. It is now on multiple rocks and on the sand. Any idea?

Looks like a bacteria of some sort. I have a few spots in my tank as well but mine is black. Lucky me. I don't worry about mine and just clean it off and blow the rocks every 5-10 days. It happens in nature and it will likely disappear over time. Others, I'm sure, will chime in.
