Closed Loop Pump?

Looking for recommendations for a closed loop. I have a 1" intake drilled and 4 3/4" returns. I dont want to have to supplement with powerheads, i have a mag5 on the sump return. I had a Mag12 on the CL and it was working fine, until it died, but wouldnt mind a little more power. Any suggestions? Quieter the better!

i would not go with a mag again. they can work well dry but the life is greatly reduced. they really are made for in sump applications. i would look into a reef dart with a gate valve. they can me found at great prices. use very little energy, add no heat to your tank, and run nearly silent

Yea definitely not going Mag again. I just used it cuz I had it layin around. Any specific GPH recommendations too? This is on a 60 cube. Thread link is in my sig if you want an idea of how the CL is laid out.

some place around 900 GPH to 1200 would be about right. even more if you are running full sps.
i always shoot for a min of 15 times turn over

i got a velocity t4 if you need an extremely quiet pump
its 1200gph

For silent the T4 is a great pump. But there are lots of good pumps in that range. Little Giant 4 X series, GenX Mak4, Pan World, Blue Line, etc.
