I have an adult clown trigger around 14”. Housed by himself. Acquired around February 15th, copper treatment was concluded last week. Proceeding into half salinity this week. The specimen was previously eating very well until a week ago. However now is rejecting to ingest food, attempts to consume then simply spits everything back out. There are several other fish in the same quarantine system and all are doing well, so I do not believe it is an issue related to water chemistry or procedures. The only thing that comes to mind is that approximately two months ago this specimen decided a fairly well concealed powerhead cord looked appetizing, I presumed he didn’t ingest anything, who knows. Current salinity is 1.017. Would live freshwater shrimp or feeder fish be an acceptable option to attempt to stimulate appetite? My only concern is introducing brackish water parasites at the moment. Is there much of a concern with this at half salinity?
