✨ Updates ✨
Finally got the Platinum White X4 mounted today with their white rear mount arm. Looks perfect over the tank.

Current tank inhabitants are, 2 longfin clowns, 3 banggai cardinals, and 1 thumb size hippo tang that will probably stay in until he/she is 2 years old.

CUC are, 1 Babylonian snail, some nassarius, some astera, some blue legged hermits, 1 Halloween hermit and a tuxedo urchin added recently.

Corals are, rainbow hologram hammer, a torch that I don't remember the name of, Jedi monti, jaw breaker monti, Duncan, an assortment of zoas, birdsnest, ricordea mushroom, neon toadstool, and a green slimer.

If anyone wants any close ups shots just let me know!

How is the nanomat working?
Ended up not working for the tank so I switched back to the filter socks. Probably once my nutrient exports needs to increase I'll look into a roller mat for the system. Hopefully UNS will have a good option by that time since I've seen some complaints on the roller adapter they made.

Scott in Taylors here. I’ve got free starter SPS frags available to local folks! @2ndtimereefer81 grabbed a couple off of me. Would love to see a pic of the whole setup! (Videos besides YouTube uploads don’t work for me on this site for whatever reasons).
I love the UNS and the illumagic, solid choices.

Oh man I would love that. I'm really wanting to do heavy sps on this tank so that would be great. I'm right off of st mark so also in the Taylors area.
Realized I don't have many pictures since everything is mainly in the frag size phase but I linked a video of the tank.

Looking great! I have a pretty busy weekend planned. But shoot me a pm and we can arrange a meetup. I’m itching to buy a new coral so maybe we could meet at a store sometime soon and we could just exchange the corals in the parking lot, reef gurus is most convenient for me). You can see the corals I have available in my build thread. I have plentiful Cali tort and toxic green acro that I feel perfectly happy about giving away.
I have a couple of other colonies I would cut a frag for a small price (bill Murray and CCH big bang) and then I also have a handful of space invaders chalice frags available too. Just let me know what you’re interested in, And we can work something out!
Glad to see new/returning reefers in the area.
I’ll eventually have frags of all my corals available, setting up a dedicated frag tank next!

That sounds wonderful, I'll definitely hit you up to see when you're available! Thanks

Also, hopefully someone can revive the local upstate reefer scene because I still remember my first frag swap years ago at the Embassy Suites off of verdae.

Thanks!

No complaints at all. I know it took some figuring out with the feeding ring not sitting flush with the water level but I emailed them and they provided a quick solution. I control the feeding schedule with my hydros and haven't had any issues.

Couple of updates since it's been a while.

Added some sticks from the most recent coral show that was hosted in Columbia a couple of weeks ago, as well as some pretty starter stick pieces from local reefers @skey44 .

Unfortunately also had my first stick die. A very stunning piece from CCH. A cch Zelda. Sad days. At least the Chewbacca I got from them is doing really well.

Also added a exquisite wrasse yesterday to the tank so let's hope this one doesn't find a way to jump out. 🤞 Other than that tank is cruising and slowly maturing.

Probably just stress. These Acropora frags don’t mess around when something goes awry. Looks like everything else settling in nicely!

Sorry for the delay on tank updates. Lost most my corals due to a combination of bjd and high phosphates. Joys of a new tank am I right 😂.

Got phosphates under control with chemipure elite but now my notes are high. Been slowly working on getting that under control as well.

In the meantime here's a tank shot of everyone living and laughing and loving.

So glad my scolly didn't die with all the parameter swings.
