Can I combine Prazipro and NFG? I'm not sure if my fish is suffering from bacterial infection or flukes. It's a regal angel that has done 9 days in copper and stopped eating and went into hiding. I took him out of copper, into a fresh water dip, and into nfg. 12hrs later he seems to be trying to eat again. He's not eating like he was bit he sucks food in and spits it back out.

You probably can if it’s an emergency but it’ll be imperative to have very strong surface water agitation as you can expect a serious drop in O2.

Why are you suspecting either flukes or bacterial infections? It’s not uncommon for fish to stop eating in copper. Regals can be particularly tricky to entice to eat after almost any environmental change.

Can you post pics?

I saw clear objects on the fish before the dip and they weren't there after the dip. There were clear things in the container after the dip but nothing white. I've dipped and found flukes before but I'm not sure if these were flukes or scales.

I also noticed that there is a slight red tinge to the area where the pectroal fins attach. It may be normal or sign of infection.

The fish ate like a pig while in copper. Then one day it just switched and hid in the PVC and didn't eat anything.

I know that sudden stopping of eating is an indicator of infection and quick action creates the best chance for the fish to survive. After 24hrs of not eating anything, I had to do something.

After the fw dip and change to nfg tank, it now seems interested in food and coming out of the PVC. Its still very sluggish and not attacking the food out of the water column. Almost like it can't see the food.

I can post pics but there's not much to take pics of. There's no visible issues other then lethargy and little to no appetite. I'll snap some pics when I get home tonight.

When you did the freshwater dip did you see flukes in the dipping vessel?
I did the dip in a different container than I normally do and it was really hard to see. I saw clear things in suspension and a few clear things in the bottom but not white like other flukes I've found have been.
