They just look like pods to me, a good thing to have in your tank.


As for your "fish are dying" part you'll have to give some more info for people to be able to help you out. Ie parameters, how long the tank has been established, how long the fish have been established in the tank etc.

and if the pods are still alive I guess you could rule out copper overdose

I figured they were pods, but I’m trying to think of everything. The root issue is I put a fish (fire fish) in without quarantining. No signs of anything wrong. 3 weeks later, the fish died overnight.
The night before, the fish was hiding more than usual and it wasn’t as happy about being fed, but nothing crazy.
Now one of my clowns won’t leave its sleeping spot and the other clown (paired) keeps nudging it.
No external signs of anything, so it might be an infection or parasite in the fish.
Parameters are:
Salt: 34 (redsea pro)
Ph: 8.2ish
Alk: 9.8
Nitrates: 5
Phosphates: .03
Elements 1450 and 450
Corals are open.

I might have to go get a small tank and try to treat. I doubt petco will have the treatments. So, it might be pointless.

Both fish look healthy from the outside. No spots, growths, or cuts. Both ate like crazy yesterday.
